Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

1. What this app is for

Qamari (the "app") is a tool for managing dates, showing the Hijri (Islamic) calendar alongside the Gregorian one.

The app does not provide religious advice, interpretation or rulings. Dates and names of occasions vary by region and by school of thought, and the app does not present any of them as the correct one. The dates shown are for reference, based on the calculation method you select (Umm al-Qura, Civil or Tabular) and on the sighting adjustment you set.

A calculated calendar and the moon sighting announced in your area can differ. Final decisions about fasting, prayer, occasions and any other religious practice rest with you and with the school of thought and local authorities you follow. Please do not rely on this app's display alone.

2. About reminders

Reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. Depending on your device settings, power state and operating system limits, a notification may be delayed or may not arrive. Notifications are an aid, not a guarantee — please confirm important dates yourself as well.

3. Purchases

App Store: Some features are unlocked by a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription. You can restore it from the paywall or from "Restore Purchases" in Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy.

4. No warranty

The app is provided as is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from defects.

5. Your data

Data is stored on your device. Please take your own backups (for example with the export feature) to guard against device failure, loss, replacement or deletion of the app. See the privacy policy for details.

6. Limitation of liability

Except in cases of the developer's intent or gross negligence, the developer's liability for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app is limited to the total amount you have paid in connection with the app. Where such a limitation is not permitted by consumer protection law or other mandatory law, liability applies to the extent that law provides.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised as needed. Significant changes will be announced on this page.

Limitation of liability (overriding)

Notwithstanding any other provision of these terms, Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability for any damages arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app. Where such a limitation is not permitted by mandatory law, we are liable to the extent that law provides.
