Privacy Policy
TsukiLift / Effective: May 2026
1. Data we collect
iOS: The app saves the following data in local storage on your device (SwiftData). This data is never transmitted externally.
Android: The data is saved in a local database on the device (Room). The kinds of data, and the fact that none of it leaves the device, are the same as on iOS (How the Android version handles your data).
- Period records (start and end dates, flow, pain level, and other self-reported information)
- Basal body temperature (BBT) records
- Symptom logs and self-rated energy and mood
- Workout records (exercise, weight, reps, RPE, and so on)
- Body composition data (weight, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, and so on)
- Workout templates and app settings
- Notes and free text
2. Health data integration (Apple HealthKit on iOS, Health Connect on Android)
Android: The Android version uses Health Connect. The record types it reads and writes are listed under How the Android version handles your data. The section below describes the iOS version.
The app reads and writes Apple Health (HealthKit) data only when you explicitly grant permission in the settings screen.
- HealthKit integration is optional. Every feature of the app remains available if you do not grant it.
- Types of data involved: period records, basal body temperature, weight, sleep duration, and workout records
- Data read from HealthKit is used only for display and analysis inside the app and is never transmitted externally.
- HealthKit data remains on your device under Apple's privacy framework.
3. Where data is stored
- App Store: Location: On your iPhone only (local storage via SwiftData)
- Google Play: Location: On your Android device only (local storage via Room)
- App Store: iCloud sync: None
- Google Play: Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer: Both disabled
- External servers: None
- Data the developer can access: None
4. Sharing with third parties
The app does not provide, sell, or share user data with any third party.
- Advertising and tracking SDKs: not used
- Analytics SDKs: not used
- Crash reporting SDKs: not used
- Cloud sync (CloudKit and similar): not used
5. Purchases and payment
iOS: Billing for Premium features is processed through Apple's StoreKit. The app never handles credit card or payment details directly. For billing enquiries, please contact Apple Support.
Android: Billing is processed through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment, and no card details ever reach the developer. For billing enquiries, please contact Google Play support.
6. Managing and deleting your data
You can do all of the following at any time from "Settings → Data Management".
- Export all data as JSON or CSV (free)
- Restore from an exported file
- Delete all data permanently (cannot be undone)
Uninstalling the app also deletes all data stored on your device.
7. Children's privacy
This app is not intended for children under 13. Use by anyone under 13 is not permitted.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this privacy policy, we will announce it in the app's update release notes.
9. Contact

How the Android version handles your data
The following describes the Android version (Android 9.0 and later). Everything above applies to iOS; only the points below differ on Android.
Your records are stored in a local database (Room) on your device. They are never sent to the developer's servers.
Both cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled (allowBackup="false" plus data_extraction_rules.xml). To move to a new device, export a backup yourself from inside the app.
With your permission, TsukiLift uses Health Connect on your device. It reads basal body temperature, body fat, cervical mucus, exercise, intermenstrual bleeding, menstruation, sleep and weight. It writes basal body temperature, body fat, cervical mucus, exercise, intermenstrual bleeding, menstruation and weight.
Health data handled through Health Connect is used solely to calculate and display results inside the app. It is never used for advertising, shared with data brokers, or disclosed to third parties. You can revoke Health Connect permission at any time in your device settings.
The only external service used is Google Play Billing (purchases). Google processes all payments; card details never reach the developer.
The only device permission the app requests is showing notifications. It is asked for only when you use the matching feature, and declining leaves the rest of the app usable.
Uninstalling the app deletes the data on your device. With backup and transfer disabled, no copy remains outside it.
Controller, contact and your rights
This app is provided by freetokyo, an independent developer, who acts as the data controller. For any question about this policy or about personal data, contact freetokyo2020@yahoo.co.jp. We normally reply within five business days.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete and correct the personal information collected about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.
Where this app stores data only on your device, we have no access to it, so most of these rights are exercised directly on the device: delete or export inside the app, or delete the app. We will still answer any request you send us.
Retention: on-device data is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails are deleted 24 months after the request is closed.
