Frequently asked questions

Q. Where is my data stored?

Everything is stored on your device. There is no transmission to external servers and no data collection (fully offline).

Q. Can I move my data when I switch devices?

Go to Settings → "Export backup" to export all your data as a JSON file, then bring it into your new device from "Import backup".

Q. Are costs totalled across currencies?

No. To avoid errors from exchange-rate conversion, costs are grouped and shown per currency.

Q. What's the difference between Free and Pro?

The free version lets you use up to 2 horses, the current month's cost report, a 3-generation pedigree, and 3 show/breeding records each. Pro (one-time purchase) unlocks unlimited horses, all-time reports and the annual summary, a 5-generation pedigree + PDF, and PDF/CSV export. Even beyond the free limit, viewing and editing existing data is always available.

Q. I want to restore my purchase

You can restore from Settings → "Restore purchases", or via "Restore purchases" on the paywall.

Q. I'm not receiving notifications

A notification is registered when you set a next due date on a record. Please check that notifications are allowed under iOS "Settings → Notifications → Khaylog".
