RecoverySync is built on a simple principle: your health data belongs to you. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal or health data with anyone — not with us, not with third parties, not with advertisers.

What data we access

iOS: With your permission, RecoverySync reads the following data from Apple HealthKit on your device:

iOS: All access is read-only. RecoverySync never writes data back to HealthKit.

What we do NOT collect

RecoverySync does not collect any of the following:

Where your data is stored

iOS: All data generated by RecoverySync — including your recovery scores and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is ever transmitted to external servers. iCloud Backup of your device may include this data at your discretion under your own Apple ID and Apple's privacy terms.

Third-party SDKs and services

iOS: RecoverySync contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries. The only external framework used is Apple's HealthKit, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policies.

Apple HealthKit (iOS)

Health data obtained through HealthKit is used solely for the purpose of calculating and displaying your recovery score within the app. This data is never used for advertising, shared with data brokers, or disclosed to third parties.

Health Connect (Android)

With your permission, RecoverySync reads the following data from Health Connect on your device: heart rate variability (SDNN), resting heart rate and sleep. All access is read-only — RecoverySync never writes anything back.

This data is stored on your device in a local database. Cloud backup and device transfer are turned off, so it never leaves your device.

The only external services used are Health Connect, Google Play Billing (purchase) and Google Play In-app Review (rating prompt). None of them receives your health data.

Health data obtained through Health Connect is used solely to calculate and display your recovery score within the app. It is never used for advertising, shared with data brokers, or disclosed to third parties.

Children

RecoverySync is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

How the Android version handles your data

The following describes the Android version (Android 9.0 and later). Everything above applies to iOS; only the points below differ on Android.

Your records are stored in a local database (Room) on your device. They are never sent to the developer's servers.

Both cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled (allowBackup="false" plus data_extraction_rules.xml). To move to a new device, export a backup yourself from inside the app.

With your permission, RecoverySync uses Health Connect on your device. It reads heart rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep. Access is read-only; nothing is ever written back.

Health data handled through Health Connect is used solely to calculate and display results inside the app. It is never used for advertising, shared with data brokers, or disclosed to third parties. You can revoke Health Connect permission at any time in your device settings.

The only external service used is Google Play Billing (purchases). Google processes all payments; card details never reach the developer.

The only device permission the app requests is showing notifications. It is asked for only when you use the matching feature, and declining leaves the rest of the app usable.

Uninstalling the app deletes the data on your device. With backup and transfer disabled, no copy remains outside it.

Controller, contact and your rights

This app is provided by freetokyo, an independent developer, who acts as the data controller. For any question about this policy or about personal data, contact freetokyo2020@yahoo.co.jp. We normally reply within five business days.

If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete and correct the personal information collected about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.

Where this app stores data only on your device, we have no access to it, so most of these rights are exercised directly on the device: delete or export inside the app, or delete the app. We will still answer any request you send us.

Retention: on-device data is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails are deleted 24 months after the request is closed.
